Little Jumping Joan

Inspiration strikes at 3am this morning.

Little Jumping Joan is born at 3.05am.

Here I am.
Well yes I know you all saw this yesterday, but it's really me. Little Jumping Joan, well a little cartoon machine embroidery version. I really do look awfully like this. All short and stout with a hat.
So I did some sketching, different poses, different shoes.
Then I found some terribly nice 1970's fabric, some vintage linen and black thread.
I sewed and I sewed. Then I had some tea, with sugar of course, it is 5.30am after all.
Then some one (I wonder who) reminded me it would be a good idea to feed her. So she got sketched too.

Of course I can't show you any more it's all hush hush and secret until I launch my new designs.

  6. When inspiration strikes you have to act on it! What a lovely idea to use the letters in your work like this. Love the 70s fabric too!

  12. She's fabulous! Creativity can strike at any time, can't it? Though to be fair, it's rarely 3 am for me - my head is very firmly on the pillow at that time!
